Ingredients
- 12-16 large white or cremini mushrooms, stems removed
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 50g mini pepperoni slices or diced regular pepperoni
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Optional garnish: fresh parsley or basil
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare mushrooms: Clean mushrooms and remove stems. Place caps on the baking sheet, cavity side up.
- Make filling: In a small bowl, mix pizza sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff mushrooms: Spoon the pizza mixture into each mushroom cap generously.
- Bake: Bake for 18-20 minutes until mushrooms are tender and cheese is melted and golden.
