Beef Burrito Recipe

This hearty Beef Burrito is packed with seasoned ground beef, beans, rice, cheese, and fresh toppings wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or meal prep!

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, guacamole, chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Cook beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Season: Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add beans and rice: Mix in cooked rice and black beans until evenly combined. Remove from heat.
  4. Assemble burritos: Lay out tortillas and evenly divide the beef mixture among them. Sprinkle cheese on top and add optional toppings if desired.
  5. Fold & serve: Fold the sides over, then roll up tightly. Serve warm, optionally with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.

  • Add sautéed bell peppers or corn for extra flavor and color.
