  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Make the dough: Combine flour and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cold water gradually, mixing until dough forms. Chill for 20 minutes.
  2. Prepare filling: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion, red pepper, and garlic until softened. Add ground beef, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned. Let cool.
  3. Assemble empanadas: Roll out dough and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of beef filling in the center. Fold over and crimp edges with a fork. Brush with beaten egg.
