Sesame Crusted Salmon Recipe

This Sesame Crusted Salmon features tender, flaky salmon fillets coated in a crunchy sesame seed crust. A quick, healthy, and elegant dish perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions!

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (about 180–200g each)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds (white or a mix of white and black)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: lemon wedges and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare salmon: Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Make glaze: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and honey.
  3. Coat with sesame: Brush salmon lightly with the soy-honey mixture, then press sesame seeds onto the top of each fillet.
  4. Cook salmon: Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place salmon fillets, sesame side down first, cook 4–5 minutes. Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until salmon is cooked through and crust is golden.
  5. Serve: Garnish with lemon wedges and chopped green onions. Serve immediately with rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad.
